The son of a writer and a graphic artist, learning to crawl while surrounded by books and art, Bo was born to be a visual storyteller. Based in Los Angeles and Minneapolis, he has worked in nearly every state in the Union and in sixteen countries on four continents.

Beginning his higher education at the University of Iowa, Bo studied film theory and history before transferring to Columbia College Chicago to finish a degree in Cinematography. In his hometown of Minneapolis he made music videos for artists such as Atmosphere and POS and photographed specials for the History Channel; the successful first season of America Unearthed for H2 and The Mystery of Easter Island, a co-production for National Geographic and Nova.  Other television includes two seasons of ABC TV’s In An Instant and commercials for Best Buy, Target, Buffalo Wild Wings, General Mills, Sperry, and many others.

In narrative feature filmmaking, Bo lensed the romantic drama Stuck Between Stations, featuring Josh Hartnett, which went to Tribeca in 2011, and war movie Memorial Day with James Cromwell that showed at four major film festivals in 2012. His most notable recent feature was sci-fi thriller 400 Days, which features Dane Cook, Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, and Ben Feldman.

Bo is a midwest raised dreamer. Not afraid of hard work, down to earth and excited to talk about how to make something unique and powerful.
